Raumwerk is a concept bathroom for Villeroy & Boch. The intention of this concept is to give the bathroom certain lightness without sacrificing the basic needs of the user. The standalone elements are not bound by space and room size.
The four table legs of an ordinary washstand have been reduced to two multifunctional supply pipes. The straight pipe system is formed by convex concave free-form surfaces to a sink.
Another design feature is the sustained hose below the sink which is an advancement of an ordinary siphon.
In contrast to conventional washstands the raumwerk faucet is coming from the side. This eliminates the place of the usual tap ledge reducing the space between the edge of the washstand and the wall to 35cm. By focusing on the essentials, the concept Raumwerk is very space saving, but can also be used elegantly in bathrooms withbigger floor space.
The intelligent pipe system of the shower is based on the one of the washstand. The water intake and the drain are integrated into the floor.
A separate hand shower can be pulled out of the holder as needed. When not in use, the hose remains hidden in the pipe.
The copper elements and the individually combined colored accessories (toothbrush mug, soap dish etc.) create special color accents.
In addition to the accessories, which can be attached to the basin, the mirror-cabinet combination creates enough space for everyday bathroom products.
